history

Entrance to the east stand (August 2008)

The construction of a new stadium on the site of the old stadium in the "central park" in Ramenskoye began after a decision by the administration of the area and the city of Ramenskoye in autumn 1998.

The old stadium had two grandstands with a capacity of 10,000 spectators and a playing area of 104 × 68 m. In 2000 the stadium was opened as a pure football stadium with four covered stands and closed corners; Since then, the stadium has seated 16,500 spectators and is still the home of the local football club FK Saturn Ramenskoje.

Between May and June 2002 the stadium was renovated by decision of the Governor of Moscow Oblast . For example, due to the more recent requirements of Rossijski Futbolny Soyuz , the lawn was equipped with lawn heating and expanded from 104 × 68 m to 105 × 68 m. The floodlight system has also been increased from 1,200 lux to 1,400 lux. In addition, 326 VIP and 118 media seats were installed.

The Russian football club Anzhi Makhachkala from the conflict region of Dagestan bowed to UEFA and played its home games in the UEFA Europa League in Ramenskoye.
