The Red Column or Rote Saile is a 2820 meter (according to other information 2879 meter) high mountain in the Wallhornkamm in the Venediger group . The summit can be reached from Prägraten via the Sajathütte and from there via a little exposed normal ascent via the Saukopf or via a via ferrata with two entry variants. The Red Column can also be climbed in the opposite direction via the Kreuzspitze and the Schernerskopf from the Eisseehütte in the Timmeltal via Zopetscharte and Tulpspitze . The Obere Saukopf is located to the south .
