The Saure Mehlbach is a good one kilometer long, western and right tributary of the Mehlbach in the area of the community Weilmünster in the Hessian district Limburg-Weilburg .

The Saure Mehlbach rises in the Hasselborn Hintertaunus at an altitude of 291 m above sea level. NHN in a meadow in the hallway In the Sauren Mehlbachder Läuseck .
The Sauern Mehlbach first flows eastward through grassland and then along the southern edge of a small forest. To the north of it there used to be several silver mines. Then the brook runs in the corridor In der Süßen Mehlbach through a strip of green, which is lined with forest on the right and left.
It finally flows a good one kilometer northwest of the Weilmünster district of Rohnstadt at an altitude of about 236 m from the right into the Mehlbach approaching from the north-northwest .
Data
The Saure Mehlbach is a low mountain stream rich in coarse material and silicate. It drains over the Mehlbach , Bleidenbach , Weil , Lahn and Rhine into the North Sea . The difference in altitude from its source to its mouth is 55 m, which corresponds to a mean bed slope of about 42 ‰ over a length of 1.3 km.
