Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat) is a song by the New Zealand music producer Jawsh 685 and the US singer Jason Derulo from the year 2020. It was written by the interpreters together with Jacob Kasher Hindlin and Phil Greiss.

In 2019, the still unknown Jawsh 685 published the instrumental song Laxed - Siren Beat on the web video platform YouTube , where it initially received no attention. In April 2020, he uploaded a 14-second excerpt of the title on the TikTok website , which soon went viral . A challenge developed from this , which initially consisted of presenting the traditional clothing of his country for the piece and contrasting it with everyday clothing, later a dance developed from this, which the users should imitate in the short clips. One of the most prominent participants in the challenge was Jason Derulo, whose performance brought the song further notoriety. The singer later announced a preview of a new song called Savage Love , which uses the instrumental Jawsh-685 piece as background music. However, he did not get permission from the producer, nor did he give it in any form, which, according to his own statement, annoyed the musician. It was later agreed to cite the song as a collaboration and officially publish it, and the original name of the piece in brackets was added to the new title. Jawsh 685 signed a contract with Columbia Records .
