Schöngeist is a German dark rock band.

history

Schöngeist was founded in Munich in 2006 . In 2010 the formation received funding from Initiative Musik . Schöngeist is under contract with Oblivion , a subsidiary of SPV . In March 2011 the formation was “Band of the Month” of the online magazine Gothic-Family.net. On one of the songs of the album No time was working icebreaker singer Alexander Wesselsky along with Timur Karakus. Executive Producer for the album Love Warriors and No time was Carlos Perón . Schöngeist gained national fame through joint tours and festival shows with bands like Last Instance and Eisbrecher. In 2012 the band received the Orkus Newcomer Award.

Singer Timur Karakus is also the producer of the music video for the ice breaker song Black Widow (2004). Drummer Manuel Di Camillo , Drummer of the Year 2010, previously played with Equilibrium . The former Schöngeist drummer Till Wollenweber now plays with the Munich electro-punk rock band Mila Masu.
