Alexx (2010)

Alexander Wesselsky (born November 18, 1968 in Augsburg ) is a German singer and television presenter . He is also known as Alexx or "The Checker". Wesselsky is the founder of the bands Megaherz and Eisbrecher .

Life

Wesselsky attended primary school in Eichenau and in 1979 transferred to the Viscardi grammar school in Fürstenfeldbruck . Alongside his job, he completed a course of study at the Bavarian Academy for Advertising and Marketing (BAW) with a degree as a media marketing specialist (BAW) and then studied humanities (history, English, German, media studies) with an MA Phil.

Wesselsky lives in Fürstenfeldbruck.

Start time

Wesselsky started playing the guitar at the age of seven. In 1985 he played in his first band "Dale Arden" as a front man and bass player. In addition, he and his bandmate Noel Pix created four songs for the German version of the Pokémon franchise. With the Munich rock band IFF he recorded the song Queen of the Night . Wesselsky sings a duet with Peter Maffay on the Tabaluga album Long Live Friendship , released in 2015 .

In 1993, Alexx founded the band Megaherz in Munich with Marc Bredtmann (guitar), Josef Kalleder (electric bass), Tobias Trinkl (drums) and Christian Scharinger (keyboard) . Until 2003 he was the lead singer, composer and lyricist of this band. The band is assigned to the New German Hardship .

After separating from Megaherz, Alexx founded the rock band Eisbrecher together with Noel Pix in 2003 .

Moderator

The checker

The Checker is a television show produced by the DMAX television station. Wesselsky mimed the title character who wastraveling in theAmerican taxi model of the same name, Checker Cab . On behalf of a customer, he had"checked"various used vehicles and then selected one that was then fully serviced and handed over. He was supported in this by Lina van de Mars . In 2010 the eighth season ran, after which Wesselsky left the show.

Fort Boyard

In the fourth German season of the adventure show Fort Boyard , which was filmed by the production company Tresor TV for Kabel eins in 2010, Wesselsky moderated alongside the " ran " presenter Andrea Kaiser . In the show, two celebrity trios compete against each other for a good cause. The total of nine episodes premiered between January 11 and March 2011.

As of September 10, 2011, an episode of the new used car series Auto used was broadcast on Kabel Eins on two Saturdays .

Since March 2013 Wesselsky can be seen on Sport1 together with the Swiss racing driver Cyndie Allemann .

Since February 27, 2017 Alexx has been presenting the Goldtimer program on DMAX .
