Federal Chess League 2017/18 (Switzerland)

The 2017/18 Bundesliga Chess League is the top division of the Swiss Group Championship (SGM) in chess. Champion was the SC Gonzen , while the defending champion SC Lyss-Seeland had to relegate bottom of the table. SC Kirchberg was promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga last year . Dates and venues

The competitions took place on November 11th, December 2nd 2017, January 13th and 27th, February 10th and 24th and March 17th 2018. The last round was organized centrally in Lyss , the others took place decentrally at the participating clubs instead of.

Promotion game to the 1st Bundesliga

For the promotion game played on May 5, 2018 in Kreuzlingen , the winners of the two second division seasons qualified with SC Bodan and Valais. Although Bodan was weaker on all boards, the team prevailed and rose to the 1st Bundesliga.
