Schachowe ( Ukrainian Шахове ; Russian Шахово Schachowo ) is a village in the Ukrainian Donetsk Oblast with about 900 inhabitants (2001).

The village is located on the bank of the Kasennyj Torez , a 129 km long right tributary of the Siversky Donets , 28 km east of the district center Dobropillja and 80 km northwest of the Oblast center Donetsk .

The village, founded in the middle of the 19th century, was called Oktjabrske ( Октябрське ) between 1919 and 2016 and was then given its original name back in the course of decommunization in Ukraine .
