Schafhausermühle (also: Schafhauser Mühle) is a district of the Kinding market in the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt .

location

The mill property is located in the Anlautertal , a side valley of the Altmühl , between Enkering and Schafhausen . The wilderness can be reached via a connecting path that branches off from State Road 2228 . The Anlautertal cycle path passes north of the property .

history

With Schafhausen, the mill belonged to the cathedral chapter of Eichstätt in the Old Kingdom and was subject to the Titting-Raitenbuch maintenance and governor's office. In the new Kingdom of Bavaria , the Schafhausermühle and Schafhausen were assigned to the Erlingshofen tax district. From 1818 to 1830 Schafhausen was again independent with the mill and was then reunited with the Erlingshofen community.

In 1807 a courtyard chapel dedicated to the Mother of God was built with a roof turret and dome. The older house of the mill is a two-storey building with a mansard hipped roof built towards the end of the 18th century .

In 2007, six people had their main residence on the property. Today a sawmill is operated on the property.
