Schallun

Schallun is a residential area in the Falkenberg district of the Altmärkische Wische community in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

Schallun is located about four kilometers south-east of the Hanseatic city of Seehausen (Altmark) in the north-west of the Falkenberg district on the river Tauber Aland . The western part of the village was formerly called Groß Schallun, the eastern part of Klein Schallun was still a residential area in 1958.

Neighboring towns are Biesehof in the west and Falkenberg in the southeast.

history

The first mention of Schallun comes from 1334 as Scalun , when Margrave Ludwig transferred the village to the Krevese monastery . Further mentions are documented in 1515 by Schallune , 1515 in front of Seehausen , 1572 by the höffe zue Schallune , 1608 called Zum Schallaun , 1620 Die Höffe zue Schallun . In 1804 it is called Schallun or The Great Schallun and was a Freihof. In 1873 it was called Schallun, Liberut . The village was only called Groß Schallun in 1905 , and still in 1958. In 1986 it was listed as a district of Schallun . In 2006, however, only as a living space, as in 2013.

In 1986 the LPG animal production "Red October" Falkenberg maintained a location with forge and technology in Groß Schallun .

The Protestant Christians from Schallun were parish into the parish of Schönberg and thus formerly belonged to the parish of Schönberg near Seehausen in the Altmark. The parish is now part of the parish Schoenberg Falkenberg and thus to the parish area Seehausen of the church district Stendal in Propst Sprengel Stendal Magdeburg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
