The surveys in Wuppertal |
The Scharpenacker Berge ( mostly in the plural form ) is a 326.3 meter high ridge in the east of the city of Wuppertal .
topology
The ridge is located in the eastern city of Wuppertal District Heckinghausen on the grounds of a former military training course Scharpenacken the Bundeswehr , which is used as a recreational area today. The Hofschaft Scharpenack, after which the military training area was named and which was demolished in the 1970s, once lay on the summit. The altitude is covered with extensive rough meadows , while the flanks are forested.
The ridge is bounded in the northeast by the Wupper , in the west by the Murmelbach and in the east by the Blombach and the Schmalenhofer Bach . At the foot of the ridge, the Wuppertal-Oberbarmen – Solingen railway line , federal motorway 1 and state road 58 (until January 1, 2008 federal road 51 ) run east . In the south-west, the Lichtscheid ridge and the Lichtenplatz district adjoin at almost the same altitude .
Due to its status as a military training area and later a recreational area, the Scharpenacker Mountains are largely uninhabited. Near the summit, to the northeast, lies the Konradswüsten settlement in the Hammesberg district of Wuppertal .
