Scheck-In (actually Scheck, In-Kauf-Center Achern GmbH ) is a grocery retail chain that is active in southwest Germany and is based in Achern , Baden , and operates fourteen grocery stores under the names Scheck-In-Center , Nah & gut and Marktkauf . Scheck-In is part of the EDEKA network.

history

Today's Scheck-In group of companies is based on a grocery store that the parents of Adolf Scheck , the founder of the group, opened in 1946. This was later taken over by Adolf Scheck and continued. In 1982 the first branch was opened in Bühlertal in a store taken over by check. In 1996, the first large-scale store called the Scheck-In-Center was opened in Achern . In the course of the complete takeover of Marktkauf Holding by the Edeka Group , some stores were taken over by check- in and continued.
