Failure & Understanding is the third album by the German punk band Feine Sahne Fischfilet , which was released on November 9, 2012 on the Audiolith label as LP (with download code), CD and download. Before it was officially released, it was offered on LP or CD at the Record Release Party in Demmin . The painting on the cover is in dire need. by JB Gribble.

In connection with the mention in the constitution protection report of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , national media reported about the band Feine Sahne Fischfilet shortly before the album was released. This increased the level of awareness of the band, which then thanked them in a satirical campaign by handing over a gift basket for the free promotion. The single “ Complete in the ass” reached six-digit number of views on Youtube , the record was re-pressed.
style
The musical basis is classic punk rock . As in ska , trumpets are also used. The song 3 ½ Meter Lichtgestalt also contains a violin solo .
Typically punk rock, the lyrics deal with the fight against neo-Nazis , criticism of the state and society, but also with drugs and parties.
reception
While the online magazine Laut.de criticizes the texts, which in the opinion of the reviewer themselves lapse into similar blunt slogans as those denounced by the band, the magazine Legacy expressly praises the fact that slogans are uttered without being blunt.

As the first single, Complete Im Arsch was released on October 12, 2012, exclusively digitally.
