Music style and content

The album belongs to the genre punk rock . The band's typical trumpets can also be heard again. The opening song Back in Our City contains fast ska elements. The album contains many songs with political messages. In the song Angst eats the soul describes the emotional state of people who are exposed to threats. It is dedicated to the Thuringian state parliament member Katharina König-Preuss ( Die Linke ), who is threatened by right-wing extremists . In the song Suruç , singer Jan “Monchi” Gorkow deals with the events of the attack in Suruç in 2015 . At that time Gorkow was in Syria as a refugee helper as part of Aktion MV for Kobane . A leitmotif of the album is the homeland. In the song Heimat , the band defines the concept of home with the words: “Home means we protect ourselves, everyone is equal”. Also in the song Wo nie Ebbe ist the band picks up on their connection to the Baltic Sea region . Also part of the album are drinkable hymns like I like no alcohol and Alles auf Rausch . The album concludes with the title Nobody Like You . In this declaration of love to Gorkow's parents, the lead singer deals with critical phases in his past.

Cover design

The album cover shows an open palm in detail . This is dirty, sweaty and shows a knocked out tooth in the middle. The background is completely black. Above the palm of the hand in the upper third of the cover, the band name Feine Sahne Fischfilet can be seen, which stands out thanks to its serif font from the album title Sturm & Dreck below in a sans serif font.
