Schepit ( Ukrainian Шепіт ; Russian Шепот Schepot ; Polish Szipot Kamerale , Romanian Șipotele Sucevei ) is a village in the Eastern Carpathians in the south of the Ukrainian Oblast Chernivtsi with about 680 inhabitants (2006).

The village, founded in 1490, was called Schepit-Kameral (Ukrainian Шепіт-Камерал ) until 1946 . It is located at an altitude of 925  m in the southeast of the historical Bukovina landscape on the Ukrainian- Romanian border. Schepit is the center of the district council of the same name within the Putyla district in Pokutien and is located about 115 km southwest of the oblast capital Chernivtsi and 32 km south of the Putyla district center . The village is on the territorial road Т-26-09 to reach. The Sutschawskyj Huk waterfall ( Сучавський Гук ) and a border crossing to Romania are located near the village .

In addition to Schepit, the district council also includes the following villages:
