The Schleinitzbach is a brook in the municipalities of Oberlienz and Thurn ( Lienz district ). The brook named after the mountain Schleinitz flows into the Isel south of Stöckl .

course

The Schleinitzbach rises on the southern slopes between Schleinitz ( 2904  m above sea level ) and Goisele ( 2433  m above sea level ) between the alpine pastures of the Jageralm and the Glanzalm in the municipality of Oberlienz. Starting from the source, the brook flows south or south-east and takes the Morinitzbach on the right below the St. Helena Church. While the banks of the Schleinitzbach in the upper reaches are almost entirely wooded, the banks in the middle and lower reaches are initially characterized by agricultural use and later by the settlements in the Lienz valley floor . Below the St. Helena Church, the Schleinitzbach first flows briefly through the municipality of Thun ( Prappernitze ) and then reaches the Oberdrum town in Oberdrum . From here the Schleinitzbach flows along Oberlienzer Straße (L 361) through the villages of Oberlienz and Stöckl before it crosses under Felbertauern Straße (B 108) and flows into the Isel. In the Oberdrum area, there are two usage rights for the extraction of water to feed fish ponds.
