The Kellersberger Hof and the Kellersberg forester's house are located there today.

history

Preserved coat of arms stone

In 1338 the "noble house and estate Kellersberg" was first mentioned. In 1439 the "Hof Kellersberg" was owned by the Wilhelmstein knight Heinrich von Droeten, then in 1603 by Johann von Gronsfeld-Nivelstein, whose family remained owners until the end of the 18th century. In 1867 the "Burg Kellersberg" or "Schloss Kellersberg" became the property of the von Blanckart family . In 1897 the castle burned down completely and was not rebuilt, whereupon the Baron von Blanckart moved his residence to Effeld near Heinsberg . The Eschweiler Bergwerks-Verein (EBV) acquired the site and, from 1906, built today's Kellersberg plant there.

An old coat of arms stone with the year 1724 has been preserved. It is set into the gate wall of the Kellersberger Hof.
