history

From 1794 to 1814 Euchen belonged to the canton of Eschweiler in the Département de la Roer , and since 1815 to the district of Aachen in the Prussian Rhineland.

In 1892 the church council of Euchen offered old stations of the cross as an oil painting of the pilgrimage church of St. Judas Thaddäus Thomasberg- Heisterbacherrott in today's Königswinter as a gift.

Until it was incorporated into Alsdorf in 1932, Kellersberg belonged to the parish of Euchen.

In 1973 the "Jungenspiele Euchen" are among the nine founding members of the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Würselener Jungenspiele eV (AWJ)".

traffic

Euchen lies at the intersection of two country roads. To the west are Birk and Bardenberg , to the north Alsdorf , to the east Broich, Linden-Neusen and St. Jöris and to the south Weiden.

The next junction is Broichweiden on the A44 . The nearest train stations are Herzogenrath and Kohlscheid on the route Aachen Geilenkirchen-Mönchengladbach , Eschweiler Hbf on the route Aachen-Düren-Köln and Alsdorf -Annapark with a direct connection through the bus line 31 AVV - Bus WÜ1 connects diseases with Wuerselen -Mitte, Würselen- Broichweiden , Würselen-Linden-Neusen, Alsdorf-Ofden and Alsdorf-Annapark.

Like Schleiden, Euchen had its own train station until 1980 . This station was only a small through station important for passenger traffic and land trade. The station building is still standing today and is privately owned. It is at the western exit of the town of Euchen on Broicher Str. (L223). Curiously, there are still rails in the route to Alsdorf-Schleibach. These tracks led to the station.
