Vorweiden is an eastern district of Würselen in the Aachen city region . Broichweiden lies to the south , Euchen to the north - west and Linden-Neusen to the north-east .

history

From 1798 to 1814 Vorweiden belonged to the canton of Eschweiler . The Protestant church designed by the architect Johann Peter Cremer is inaugurated on November 30, 1847. In 1926 the Protestant parish “Vorweiden-Lürken” was formed from Vorweiden, Hoengen , Mariadorf , Warden , Kinzweiler and Lürken . At this time, due to the expanding mining industry, many Protestants moved to the region, so that in 1927 the community gave up members to the newly established parish "Alsdorf-Baesweiler". The school was built in 1928. Today Vorweiden belongs to the parish "Hoengen-Broichweiden" in the parish of Aachen. In 1934, Vorweiden became part of the new Broichweiden municipality, which came to Würselen on January 1, 1972.

Broichweiden is located on the L 223 (formerly B 264) road between Aachen and Eschweiler . Bus lines connect the place with Aachen, Alsdorf and the rest of the city of Würselen . The next junctions are “Broichweiden” and “Aachen-Zentrum / Würselen” on the A 44 and A 544 . The main thoroughfare has been relieved by the new district road 34 (K 34) since June 10, 2011. The next train stations are " Eschweiler Hbf " and " Bahnhof Herzogenrath ".
