Schlossberg (also Schloßberg ) is a residential area on the outskirts of the Werbach district of Gamburg in the Main-Tauber district in northeast Baden-Württemberg . A castle, first mentioned in a document in the 12th century, gave its name to the mountain and residential area.

The Schlossberg residential area is located on the 242.5 meter high Schlossberg of the same name above the Tauber . The streets Burgweg and Hohlweg lead from Gamburg to the Schlossberg.
history
The living space came to the municipality of Werbach on January 1, 1975 as part of the formerly independent municipality of Gamburg.

Culture and sights
Gamburg Castle and Castle Park , built in the 12th century and also called Upper Castle Gamburg , are located directly above Gamburg on the Schlossberg . The term Upper Castle was created to distinguish Gamburg from Lower Castle Gamburg . The castle has been privately owned and inhabited since 1546. A little above the castle is the Maria-Hilf chapel in the forest. The architectural monuments of the Schlossberg residential area are listed in the list of cultural monuments in Gamburg .
