Palace chapel of the Assumption

The palace chapel of the Assumption of Mary in Hirschbrunn , a district of Auhausen in the Donau-Ries district (Bavaria), was built in 1692. That of the Assumption consecrated chapel is a protected monument .

history

In 1692, Count Franz Albrecht von Oettingen-Spielberg had a chapel built on the southeast side of the Hirschbrunn hunting lodge , which was extensively renovated before the 300th anniversary in 1992. The patron s box in the church is accessible from the castle via a connecting passage.

architecture

The choir in the basement of the tower has a barrel vault . The windows and the choir arch are rounded. The nave has a flat ceiling and a gallery to the west. The arched windows are drawn in below.

The basement of the tower is rectangular and above it there are two polygonal upper floors, which are separated by a profiled cornice . The tower is crowned by an onion dome.

Furnishing

The baroque altar from 1775, with a picture of Mary by L. Mayle from 1838, has figures of St. George and John the Baptist . The pulpit dates from around 1720.

organ

In 1943 a Steinmeyer organ with 14 registers was installed.

Bells

In the tower hang three bells with the sounds of the Te Deum motif GBC.
