Schröding is a parish village in the municipality of Kirchberg in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding .

history

Schröding, one of the first settlements in the area, was founded around 800 by a man named Scort. In 1050 a Hiltolf de Scrotingin is mentioned in a document . In the following years the church was moved from Adlkirchen to Schröding. The church in Schröding is mentioned in 1315 as a branch church of Steinkirche . The current parish church of St. Urban and Nikolaus is late Gothic around 1450. The nave and top of the tower were redesigned in Baroque style by Anton Kogler around 1702/03, and the nave was extended around the middle of the 20th century. From 1901 Schröding was the branch of the parish of Steinkirchen, and since 1921 there has been an independent parish.

Schröding has been part of the Kirchberg community and its school seat, which was formed in 1818 by the Bavarian community edict. Today there is a school association with the neighboring community of Hohenpolding .
