Schrollbach is a district of the community of Niedermohr in the district of Kaiserslautern in Rhineland-Palatinate . Schrollbach was an independent municipality until 1969.

geography

The district is located in the southeast of the municipality. The Mohrbach runs north of the village . The federal motorway 62 runs on the western edge of the town .

history

The village derives its name from a tributary of the Mohrbach, which rises south of the village and used to drive the Schrollbacher Mühle.

The place shares history with its former place of jurisdiction Ramstein in the Upper Palatinate Office Lautern ( Kaiserslautern ). The place consisted of six fireplaces in 1600, 137 inhabitants lived here in 1787, 167 in 1802 and 318 in 1834. 155 inhabitants were Catholics who belonged to the parish of Kirchmohr and 163 Protestants who were assigned to the parish of Steinwend . Two thirds of the tithing of the area was taken by the Electoral Court Chamber and one third by the Lutheran pastor of Deinsberg (today Theisbergstegen ). The court chamber also owned the Probstwoog, the Count of Sickingen and the Kommende Einsiedeln near Kaiserslautern some meadows. Of the forest in the district, 22 acres belonged to the Schrollbach community excluding and 27 acres to community with fen.

On June 7, 1969, Schrollbach, with its 475 inhabitants at the time, was incorporated into the community of Niedermohr in the form of a new formation.
