The Schußgrubenkogel is 3211 m above sea level. A. high summit in the Stubai Alps in Tyrol .
location
Located south of the Schaufelspitze and above the Windach Valley, it is one of the few glacier-free mountains in the vicinity of the Hildesheimer Hütte and the Stubai Glacier glacier ski area .
rise
From the north, an ascent leads from the southern edge of the Gaißkarferner over a slightly lower northern secondary summit to the Schußgrubenkogel, with a climbing point of difficulty I (UIAA) to be mastered on the blocky ridge . From the Hildesheimer Hütte, the mountain can also be reached from the east via the ridge that runs south of the Gaißkarferner. In winter, the Schußgrubenkogel is also an easily accessible ski tour destination .
