Shot (mascot)
In 1968, Schuss was the first, then unofficial mascot in the history of the Olympic Games .
description
The figure shows a stylized skier in a blue ski suit. Shot had no arms, a large red ball formed his head. The shot was designed by Aline Lafargue for the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble . The motif was hardly marketed, but only appeared on pins and some small toys.
The mascot was derided by critics as The Skiing Sperm ( German for the skiing sperm ).
