morphology

Marzahner Fenn, White Fenn Marzahne.svg

The Black Mountain as part of the Nauener Platte was formed during the last, the Vistula Cold Age . It was formed by ice masses advancing into Central Europe from the northeast. The Black Mountain is the highest point of a larger compression moraine complex . The inland ice formed a whole chain of hills, to which for example the Fohrder Berg , the Gallberg , the Fuchsberg and the Eichberg belong. The Black Mountain also forms the south-western end of the Marzahner Fenn , a former glacier tongue basin, like a bar . It originated on ice edge  layers 1c and 2 of the Brandenburg phase . In addition to the Black Mountain, for example, the Fohrder Berg, the Gallberg and the Marienberg are also included in peripheral location 1c, which is only partially comprehensible . The edge length 2 can be traced through the line Schwarzer Berg - Hasselberg - Wasenberg - Weinberg - Götzer Berg . At its core, the Black Mountain is said to be of Cold Age origin. The glacial Bohnenland-Görden-Rinne formed southwest on the Black Mountain .

Burial ground

In the 19th century, an urn grave field with graves from the Late Bronze Age was discovered on the Black Mountain . A total of nine graves with items made of bronze were secured. For example, spiral plate brooches , spiral rings , finger rings and arm rings were found.
