The Black Sea is a lake near Marx -Barge in the Wittmund district . It is the only ground moraine lake in East Frisia . The edge of the shallow lake is marshland and surrounded by dry sandy heather and grassland . It has been protected by a 15 hectare nature reserve since 1977 . The area is listed as a habitat according to the Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive .
