Scott Kroopf

Stuart Scott Kroopf (born June 20, 1951 in Palo Alto , California ) is an American film producer .

Life

Scott Kroopf was the youngest child of a physician in Palo Alto in the US state of California was born. In addition to his older sister, he is the younger brother of the screenwriter and film producer Sandy Kroopf . While still studying at the University of California, Irvine , Kroopf didn't know what he wanted to be. It was not until a literature course with Professor Robert Cohen that his passion for drama came up. He wrote an autobiographical piece about a boy who disappoints his friends because he goes out with a drug addict girl. Since he was performing it himself, he became so interested in acting that he attended the American Conservatory Theater's summer acting program in San Francisco . After graduating from UCI in 1973, he went to Los Angeles to work for a theater supplier. This led him to co-found Ramama Hollywood , a company that produced and directed plays in Hollywood.

After getting a job in television through his brother, he joined the film production company Embassy Pictures as a dramaturge in 1982 . There he worked his way up to executive producer after a few years and was able to work as executive producer for the first time through the film Die Killer-Akademie . After working as a producer for the first time in Bill & Ted's Crazy Journey through Time and Bill & Ted's Crazy Journey into the Future , Kroopf was able to assert himself in Hollywood after other films such as Jumanji , Last Samurai and No Limit .
