Scovia Ayikoru (born January 14, 1994 in Arua ) is a Ugandan athlete who competes in the sprint .

Athletic career

Scovia Ayikoru gained her first international experience at the Summer Universiade 2017 in Taipei , where she was eliminated in the 100 and 200 meters as well as with the 4 x 100 meter relay in the preliminary run and with the Ugandan 4 x 400 meter Season reached sixth place in 3: 43.38 min. In 2018 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time and was eliminated there with 54.65 s in the 400-meter run . In addition, she was eighth in the 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 35.03 min and retired in the 100 meter run with 11.99 seconds in the semifinals. In August she was eliminated from the African Championships in Asaba with 11.93 s in the 100-meter run in the semifinals and was seventh over 200 meters in 23.66 s. At the IAAF World Relays 2019 in Yokohama , she was eliminated with the 4 x 400 meter relay with 3: 35.02 minutes in advance.

In 2017 Ayikoru became Ugandan champion with the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 meter relay.
