Sebastian Anneser

Sebastian Anneser (born February 24, 1939 in Unterwangenbach , Niederbayern ; † January 3, 2018 ) was a German Roman Catholic clergyman, cathedral capitular and apostolic protonotary in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising .

Life

Sebastian Anneser, the youngest of six children of a farming family in Holledau , entered the Freising boys' seminar, completed his Abitur at the Domgymnasium in Freising and entered the Pontificium Collegium Germanicum et Hungaricum de Urbe , the German-speaking seminary in Rome , as an alum . There he studied philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University from 1959 to 1969 . During the Second Vatican Council he received on 8 October in 1965 by Cardinal Julius Döpfner in Ignatius of Loyola in Campo Marzio in Rome with twelve other Germanikern from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Luxembourg and the former Yugoslavia, the ordination . He celebrated his primacy the following day in San Sebastiano al Palatino on the Roman Palatine Hill . In 1969 he was with the moral theological dissertation on the religious concept of presence ( "faith in unbelievers - unbelief in believers') with Josef Fuchs SJ to Dr. theol. PhD. He initially worked as a chaplain for three years in the parish of St. Nikolaus in the Munich district of Hasenbergl , then in the training of lay theologians at the Cardinal-Döpfner-Haus educational center in Freising, of which he was director from 1975 to 1987. He organized the two Pope visits by John Paul II in 1980 and 1987 in Munich. He was Episcopal Commissioner for Catholic Adult Education and Head of the Education and Counseling Department in the Pastoral Department in the Ordinariate of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising.

Sebastian Anneser was accepted into the Munich metropolitan chapter in 1990, elected cathedral chapter and appointed head of press and public relations for the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising. From 1990 to 1999 he was chairman of the Sankt Michaelsbund and thus also publisher of the Munich church newspaper .

From 1997 to 2009 he was Finance Director in charge of the Archbishop's Finance Chamber, where he was responsible for the departments of diocesan budget, church foundation budget, payroll accounting for 16,000 employees and properties, as well as the forest and asset management departments. In addition, Annesser was chairman of the conference of financial directors of all Bavarian dioceses and administered the supra-diocesan fund of the Freising Bishops' Conference . He belonged to the board of trustees of the Foundation Birthplace of Pope Benedict XVI. on as well as on the supervisory boards of Weltbild and the Catholic News Agency . He was a board member of the Friends of Santo Stefano Rotondo .

Sebastian Anneser lived in Kirchseeon since 1987 , where he worked part-time in the pastoral care of the parish of St. Joseph. In 2009 he retired. Cardinal Reinhard Marx gave the requiem and sermon in Freising Cathedral on January 13, 2018 . Then the burial took place in the cloister of the cathedral.
