Sebastian König (born July 16, 1984 in Schweinfurt ) is a German television presenter and actor . He was mainly known for his broadcasts on the German private broadcaster Sat.1 and the music channel VIVA .

Life

Training and career start

After graduating from high school in 2004, he spent longer periods in New York City and Atlanta . Back in Germany, he moved to Cologne to do his community service . He then went first as an intern at the city radio station Radio Köln 107.1 , where he later also worked as a volunteer . After passing the casting for the music broadcaster VIVA, however, he broke off the radio traineeship and moved to Berlin in April 2006 .

Moderation

From April 2006 to January 2009 he worked as a VJ / presenter at VIVA and moderated the programs Street Charts , Club Rotation and the festival report Mixery Massive Music , for which he reported live from the Love Parade in Essen in 2007 . He was also seen in other VIVA shows, e.g. B. in the VIVA Special Charts , the VIVA Top 100 , NEW , VIVA Live! and the VIVA Top 20.

Since September 2008 he has moderated the Anna und die Liebe web magazine for Sat1.de, which goes online with a new episode every week. Furthermore, he also appears regularly as a moderator of events and major events. In October 2009, König moderated the press conference and the main stage at Europe's largest youth fair YOU and events such as the Sat.1 Anna and Love Fan Day, which took place in March 2010 and May 2011 at the Sony Center on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin.

In addition to his work as a presenter, he appeared on stage as Ferdinand for the “Junge Landestheater Bayern” in Shakespeare's Der Sturm . 2003 followed u. a. the role of Franz in Katzelmacher after Rainer Werner Fassbinder . In 2012, König played in the German premiere of the French play "My Bride, His Father and I", Henri de Sacy at Comödie Dresden .

From August 25, 2008 to the final on April 13, 2012, he was seen as "Maik Majewski" in the Sat.1 - Telenovela Anna und die Liebe . In July 2011, König was shown daily in short episodes under the title The King on the Sat.1 website. Sebastian König plays a fictional version of himself in this series.

social commitment

Sebastian König has been supporting the “MTV Staying Alive Foundation”, which advocates AIDS education, since March 2008 . In October of the same year Sebastian had himself photographed naked for the animal rights organization Peta in order to draw attention to the abuses of the wild animals living in zoos and circuses with the campaign “Wild animals belong in freedom” .
