Sebastian Kislinger (born August 1, 1988 ) is an Austrian snowboarder . He starts in the parallel disciplines.

Career

Kislinger has mainly participated in the European Cup since 2007. He has achieved 23 podium finishes so far, five of them victories. In the 2011/12 , 2012/13 and 2016/17 seasons, he took third place in the parallel ranking. He also finished second in the parallel slalom ranking in 2016/17 and third in 2019/20 (as of the end of the 2019/20 season). He made his debut in the Snowboard World Cup in January 2010 on Kreischberg , which he finished in 60th place in the parallel giant slalom. At the Winter Universiade 2011 in Erzurum , he won the silver medal in the parallel giant slalom. In December 2011 he achieved his first top ten placement in the World Cup in the parallel slalom in Carezza with seventh place. At the 2013 Winter Universiade in Monte Bondone , he won the gold medal in the parallel giant slalom.

In the 2014/15 season, Kislinger achieved two placements among the top ten, 14th place in the Parallel World Cup and 13th place in the Parallel Slalom World Cup. At the season highlight of the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg, he came 23rd in the parallel giant slalom and 21st in the parallel slalom. In March 2015, he became the Austrian giant slalom champion in Hochficht . In the 2016/17 season he reached three top ten placements in nine World Cup appearances. He came on the podium for the first time in the World Cup with second place in the parallel giant slalom in Pyeongchang . At the Snowboard World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada , he finished 22nd in the parallel slalom and eighth in the parallel giant slalom. He finished the season in 14th place in the Parallel World Cup and in seventh place in the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup. In the 2017/18 season he came with seven top ten placements, including second place in the parallel slalom in Winterberg , fifth place in the parallel world cup and third place in the parallel slalom world cup. In the parallel giant slalom held as part of the 2018 Winter Olympics , he was eliminated on February 24th in the South Korean city ​​of Pyeongchang in the round of 16 and finished in eleventh place.

After third place in the parallel giant slalom in Carezza at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, he achieved ninth place three times and sixth place once and thus finished 11th in the parallel slalom World Cup. At the season highlight, the Snowboard World Championships 2019 in Park City , he finished 30th in both the parallel slalom and the parallel giant slalom.
