Sebastian Meise
Sebastian Meise (born 1976 in Kitzbühel ) is an Austrian film director .
Life
Meise studied painting at the Art Students League of New York from 1994 to 1996 and then philosophy and musicology at the University of Vienna . From 2000 he switched to directing at the Vienna Film Academy , where he was in Michael Haneke's class .
In 2007 he co-founded the production company FreibeuterFilm . His feature film debut Still Life from 2011 deals with the subject of pedophilia . While researching the film, he met the protagonist of his documentary Outing and decided to make a film about him.
