action

A family man pays prostitutes to pretend to be his daughter in role-playing games . The shocking discovery of a lifelong concealed obsession shakes a fragile family structure.

“I would like to watch you take a shower.
You don't dry yourself off.
You sit on my lap
Then I'll dry you off.
I want to caress your body.
I would like to call you Lydia. "

When Bernhard found these instructions in a letter to a young prostitute, his family's life changed fundamentally. Because Lydia is the name of his sister and the author of this text is his own father. Lydia comes home to help her father with therapy for his alcoholic illness. Bernhard joins them and puts the piece of paper he found on the table with a rigid expression, whereupon the father leaves without a word. The father is unable to talk about his pedophile tendencies, but leaves a previously hidden box with the children's photos of Lydia lying open in the workshop. Bernhard and Lydia discover the pictures and recognize what they are for. Lydia then wants to leave. Bernhard tries to find out what happened in the past. At first Lydia doesn't want to talk about it, she is torn between her desire to flee and her affection for the family. The mother tries to maintain the appearance of normality on the outside and the father seeks a way to cope with his feelings of shame and guilt. When the father takes a rifle from the basement to repent in his own way, the siblings learn to trust each other.
