Sega Mega Drive Classics (known as Sega Genesis Classics in North America) is a collection of Sega Mega Drive - games ranging from D3T Limited and Sega developed and the first time for Steam was released.

The collection is divided into so-called “volumes” that can be purchased individually, with the first four being published both physically and digitally, and the fifth volume being published exclusively digitally.

A port of the collection for the current PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game consoles was released on May 29, 2018. The game was also released for Nintendo Switch on December 6, 2018 . In contrast to the PC version, the console versions are not divided into volumes, but contain all games from the start (apart from a few exceptions).

In addition to the games, the game also includes online multiplayer for some games as well as trophies within the game, challenges and the option of running the game faster or rewinding it.

The German online computer game magazine 4Players rated both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions as good.

The emulation of the games is criticized because these input delays ("input lags") are noticeable during the game.
