Characters

main characters

Sakuta Azusagawa ( 梓 川 咲 太 , Azusagawa Sakuta )
Sakuta is a student at a high school and is considered an outsider. He owes his bad reputation as a “pig guy ” ( seishun buta yarō ) to the fact that he was held responsible for the admission of three classmates to the hospital. Sakuta does not try to explain the circumstances behind the incident. One day when he met his classmate Mai Sakurajima in a library, he decided to investigate the "puberty syndrome". His younger sister's puberty syndrome has also affected him, leaving him with three major scars. When he can help Mai overcome her syndrome, Sakuta encounters more victims of puberty syndrome.
Mai Sakurajima ( 桜 島 麻衣 , Sakurajima Mai )
Mai is a teenage actress and is on hiatus due to the high pressure. She goes to the same school as Sakuta. She quickly notices that those around her can no longer perceive her existence, except for Sakuta. To test this, she wanders through a library in a bunny costume . As time goes by, more and more people forget about their existence until only Sakuta knows of their existence. He manages to restore her existence and people's memories of her when he confesses his love for her in front of her classmates at school. They are trying to establish a relationship, which is difficult because of Mai's job. Later, she is affected by her half-sister's puberty syndrome, which leads to the two sisters swapping bodies. Tomoe is insecure and asks Sakuta to play her boyfriend so that her classmates don't talk bad about her behind her back. Still, rumors spread about them. She falls in love with Sakuta when she sees him defending her. Her feelings for Sakuta attempt a time anomaly that causes the two of them to relive their last day as a couple over and over again. Sakuta manages to merge the two personalities again.
