The Selves is a river in France that runs in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region . It rises in the landscape Aubrac in the municipality of Laguiole , dehydrated generally in a westerly direction and ends after a total of about 45 kilometers in the municipality of Campouriez in the backwater of the Barrage de Cambeyrac as a left tributary of the Truyère . On its way, the Selves itself is dammed twice (Lac de Barrage des Galens, Lac de la Selves) and also takes its right tributary Selvet in the form of a reservoir (Lac de Maury).
