Seo Yeong-jun (born March 8, 1995 in Seoul ) is a South Korean ice hockey player who has been playing for the Korea University team in the South Korean university league since 2014 .

Career

Seo Yeong-jun began his career as a hockey player with the Calgary Royals, with whose teams he played in various junior leagues in the province of Alberta . At the age of 17 he returned to Korea and played for two years for Posung in the South Korean ice hockey league. He has been on the ice for the Korea University team in the South Korean university league since 2014 .

International

For South Korea, Seo Yeong-jun initially took part in the 2013 U18 World Cup in Division I. He then played at the U20 World Championships in 2014 , when he was voted best defender of the tournament as a top scorer and top scorer, and in 2015 in Division II.

He made his debut in the senior national team of the Asian country at the 2016 World Cup in Division I, in which he also played in 2017 , when he made it into the top division for the first time. At the Winter Asian Games 2017 he finished second with the South Koreans behind Kazakhstan .
