Seongju Oh
Seongju Oh (born December 10, 1964 in Busan , South Korea ) is a Korean tenor , composer , conductor and poet . He lives in Berlin and has been a permanent member of the Berlin Radio Choir since 1998 .
Education and career
Oh grew up in South Korea. He studied singing and choral conducting at the State University of Music Trossingen with Manfred Schreier choral conducting and with Josef Sinz singing. Numerous concert tours to the USA , Canada and within Europe ( France , Switzerland , Italy and the Czech Republic ) followed. After graduating, Oh worked as a temporary singer in the Bavarian Radio Choir . Seongju Oh has been a member of the Berlin Radio Choir since 1998. He founded the Cantus Grunewald Choir in 2010 and the Berlin Music Academy in 2012 .
Compositional creation
His compositions are premiered by his choirs, members of the Rundfunkchor Berlin and numerous instrumentalists.
