Sepp Innerhofer (born April 13, 1928 in Schenna ; † May 16, 2019 there ) was the last living founding member of the Liberation Committee South Tyrol (BAS). On the night of January 30, 1960, together with Kurt Welser , Heinrich Klier , and Martl Koch , he blew up a particularly hated symbol of fascist rule , the equestrian statue of the " Duce " in front of the power station in Waidbruck . After the attacks on power poles on the night of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in 1961, he was arrested and severely tortured in the Carabinieri barracks in Eppan . He served a three-year prison sentence for his involvement in attacks and was deprived of his civil rights until 2000.

Most recently, he lived as a fruit grower in Schenna and held regular lectures throughout Tyrol (mainly in South Tyrol) on the historical and political background to the Italianization of South Tyrol until old age, and went into the events in connection with the night of fire .
