Sergei Vadimowitsch Botscharnikow ( Russian Сергей Вадимович Бочарников ; English Sergey Bocharnikov ; born February 28, 1988 in Kharkiv , Ukrainian SSR , USSR ) is a former Russian, from 2015 Belarusian biathlete .
Career
Sergei Botscharnikow took part in his first major event in Ufa as part of the Junior European Championships, where he also contested his first international race. In the individual he ran to 20th place. About half a year later he took part in the junior competitions in Oberhof as part of the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships and finished fifth in the sprint and fourth in the pursuit race on roller skis . At the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää , Botscharnikow was eighth in the sprint and 15th in the pursuit.
Botscharnikow started for Belarus in 2015.
