Serhij Petrowytsch Breus ( Ukrainian Сергій Петрович Бреус ; born January 30, 1983 in Brovary , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian swimmer .
His special routes are the short butterfly routes . Breus lives and trains in the city of Brovary, northeast of Kiev. At the European Short Course Championships in 2004 , Breus was fourth over 100 meters butterfly and fifth over 50 meters butterfly. His European 50 m butterfly record , which he set on July 25 at the 2005 World Swimming Championships , lasted for almost three years before Milorad Čavić improved it by 27 hundredths at the 2008 European Swimming Championships in Eindhoven .
