Serkan Durmus

Serkan Durmus (born September 24, 1986 in Witten ) is a German actor of Turkish origin.

Life

Durmus grew up in his native Witten and spent part of his childhood in Istanbul . From 2008 to 2012 he completed an acting training at the drama school in Siegburg . During his apprenticeship he already played several theater roles at the Siegburg studio stage, a. a. the young Kebab in the play Class Enemy by Nigel Williams . At the Aalto Ballett Theater Essen he took on the roles of Flaut / Thisbe in the ballet production A Midsummer Night's Dream in the choreography by Heinz Spoerli from 2012–2014 .

In the 2013/14 season he played the role of the adolescent Ferit in the play Verrücktes Blut by Nurkan Erpulat and Jens Hillje in a production by Konzertdirektion Landgraf.

In Sema Meray's play The Sorrows of Young Osman , he played the main role of Osman in March / April 2014 at the Heilbronn Theater . In this world premiere, he embodied the 19-year-old sensitive son of Turkish-Muslim parents, who has just passed his Abitur and would like to study literature.

He also stood in front of the camera for various films; he has had leading roles in several short films . He had supporting episodes in the series Der Lehrer (2015; as Dr. Özkaya) and Die Kanzlei / Der Dicke (2015; as Davut Ülküm).

Durmus lives in Witten.
