The Serpentine is a small river in France that runs in the Jura department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . It rises in the Jura Mountains , in the municipality of Censeau , initially drains to the south-east, then turns to the south-west and flows after 11 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Doye and Nozeroy as a left tributary into the here only about one kilometer long and sometimes dry-falling river Ain .
