Serra dos Pireneus
Serra dos Pireneus (German: Pyrenees Mountains ), sometimes also written Serra dos Pir i neus , is a low mountain range , which the surrounding central Brazilian plateau in the middle- west of Brazil in the state of Goiás with its highest elevation, the Pico dos Pireneus with 1385 m, by up to Towered over 400 m. It lies north of Anápolis and extends from Ouro Verde de Goiás in the south to Pirenópolis and Cocalzinho de Goiás in the north, where the Goian state park Serra dos Pireneus is also located. The mountains are part of the Goian watershed between the Tocantins / Araguaia Basin in the north and the Paraná Basin in the south , the river systems of which both flow into the South Atlantic .
