Reviews

The lexicon of international films wrote that Shakedown was an "action film with non-stop shooting orgies and seemingly unreal car chases" . Although he knows how to “create a nightmarish atmosphere” , he is mainly content with “stringing together fast-paced trivialities and familiar set pieces” .

TV Spielfilm magazine wrote that the film was "worth as much as the rubble after an earthquake" . He bungled "through too many genres" and could "choose none" . The dialogues are brief and full of empty words that are as hollow "as the cartridges fired every second from the machine guns" . Only the portrayal of the “charismatic” Ron Perlman saved the “lousy filmed action cracker from the dump” .
