Shane Thorne (born September 24, 1985 in Perth , Australia ) is an Australian wrestler . He is currently under contract with the WWE and appears regularly on their show Raw .

Wrestling career

Early career (2003-2011)

Thorne began his training in Perth at the Dynamite Factory, the wrestling school of Explosive Pro Wrestling. His debut match took place in February 2003, in a Fatal Four Way Match at The Uprising. Since then he has become one of Australia's finest wrestlers, becoming a two-time EPW heavyweight champion and EPW tag team champion. After working across the Australian continent, he moved to California and began working for some of the largest independent wrestling promotions in the United States, such as the Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Ohio Valley Wrestling, and World League Wrestling.

Pro Wrestling Noah (2011-2016)

On February 23, 2011, Haste made his debut in pro wrestling Noah when he had a match against teammate Mikey Nicholls. A month after the match, both men started working full-time with the Japanese league. On July 7, 2013, Haste and Nicholls won the GHC Tag Team Championship after defeating Toru Yano and Takashi Iizuka. They lost the title to Maybach Taniguchi and Takeshi Morishima on January 25, 2014. However, they were able to regain the title on January 10, 2015. However, they lost these titles again on February 11, 2015. Their last match for Noah took place on March 10, 2016. Here they defeated Naomichi Marufuji and Mitsuhiro Kitamiya.

New Japan Pro Wrestling (2014-2016)

On December 20, 2014, Haste and Nicholls made their debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling when they and Naomichi Marufuji were named Toru Yano's tag team partner at Wrestle Kingdom 9 in the Tokyo Dome on January 4, 2015. At the event, they defeated the four Suzuki cannons Davey Boy Smith Jr., Lance Archer, Shelton X Benjamin and Takashi Iizuka in an eight man tag team match.

World Wrestling Entertainment (since 2015)

In June 2015, Haste and Nicholls participated in a WWE tryout. In February 2016 it was reported that Haste and Nicholls after their Noah farewell tour, the brand NXT from WWE will join.

On March 25, 2016, WWE confirmed the signing of Haste and his tag team partner Mikey Nicholls. You started training at the WWE Performance Center in April . During the NXT recording on May 19, 2016, Haste and Nicholls were renamed Shane Thorne and Nick Miller, respectively, while TMDK was renamed TM-61. They made their debut on May 25, 2016 and lost to Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa . On November 19, TM-61 lost to The Authors of Pain in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic finals at NXT TakeOver: Toronto. Thorne was then operated on on the knee, which is why he was out for nine months due to an injury. He returned on September 14, 2017. TM-61 returned to NXT television on January 31, 2018 to face the Ealy Brothers. TM-61 then entered the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2018 and was eliminated in the first round by The Authors of Pain. On December 14th, Miller was released from his WWE contract and the team disbanded.

On January 22, 2019, WWE announced that Thorne would replace Otis Dozovic at the Worlds Collide tournament. On January 26, 2019, Thorne was eliminated in the first round by Adam Cole . Thorne returned to television later that year complaining about not participating in the NXT Breakout Tournament. This resulted in him starting a feud with the contestants who defeated Joaquin Wilde and Bronson Reed . In the September 11th issue of NXT, Thorne had a confrontation with Johnny Gargano, who was talking about his NXT future. This resulted in a match between the two in which Thorne was defeated.

In March 2020, Thorne appeared on Raw alongside his former TMDK colleague Brendan Vink , where they lost to teams like Street Profits Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford and Cedric Alexander and Ricochet . Following the April 27, 2020 episode of Raw, Thorne and Vink became MVP's newest followers. As a result of May 4, 2020, Thorne and Vink defeated Alexander and Ricochet to claim their first victory.
