Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda - battle of the primeval giants

Sharktopus is an American low-budget television film from 2010. The film was first shown on September 25, 2010 on the US television station Syfy .

action

The US Naval Commission, also known as "Blue Water", is tasked with genetically engineering an animal that is half a shark and half an octopus for combat. During a demonstration to drive dealers from Santa Monica, the animal escapes the control of its creators and heads straight for Puerto Vallarta. Hunted by the group "Blue Water" and a television team, the monster attacks numerous beach visitors. Ultimately, Andy Flynn and Nicole Sands destroy Sharktopus after Nicole's father and Sharktopus creator, Dr. Nathan Sands, killed.

Sharktopus has received mostly negative reviews, with the review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes showing an average rating of 50% from reviewers and 23% from audience.

Sequels

In August, a sequel to the film was announced on dreadcentral.com, starring Sharktopus battling pteracuda - an animal that's half pterodactyl , half arrow pike - and starring Robert Carradine . The film was released in 2014 as Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda released.

In 2015 the sequel Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf , in which the opponent is half orca and half wolf.

In the further, already announced sequel, Sharktopus vs. Mermantula , Sharktopus will fight a monster that is part man, part piranha, and part tarantula .
