Sharktopus vs. Whale Wolf (working title: Sharktopus vs. Mermantula ) is an American science fiction - TV movie with splatter -elements from the year 2015 . The moderately to poorly rated strip represents the direct successor to the Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda - Battle of the prehistoric giants and the third part of Sharktopus . Series is under the direction of Kevin O'Neill was the low-budget film in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic turned and July 19, 2015 the United States at Syfy erstausgestrahlt ; the sale in Germany took place on February 24, 2017.

On the ship of the often drunk Captain Ray Brady, the body and a mourner are eaten by a shark with squid tentacles, the Sharktopus, during a burial at sea. Brady is locked up for it. Since a voodoo priest can buy him out of prison, he is in debt to him and has to bring him the heart of Sharktopus. Meanwhile, the cosmetic surgeon Dr. Elsa Reinhardt rejuvenate the aging and unsuccessful baseball player Felix Rosa and bring him to new fame by mixing his DNA with that of a whale and a wolf. The experiment fails and Rosa becomes a new kind of monster, the whale wolf. Both monsters are up to mischief in Santo Domingo and kill people, but they also clash and fight with each other, but there is never a clear winner. The whale wolf even brings its creator Dr. Reinhardt after she doesn't want to know anything more about her creature. Captain Brady manages to cut off the tip of a tentacle from the Sharktopus and brings it to the voodoo priest, who wanted the heart but is ultimately satisfied with the tip of the tentacle. He builds a voodoo doll and takes control of the Sharktopus, but Captain Brady manages to get this doll into his possession. His colleagues lure the two monsters into a stadium where the final fight will take place. Whalewolf hurls Sharktopus against a charged net, whereupon it burns. Fighter planes kill the whale wolf. At the end of the film, a voodoo priestess is seen turning the Sharktopus tentacle into a living tentacle, suggesting that there is a sequel.

The reviews for Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf turned out very differently, but mostly settled in the area of the weak ratings.
