Shauna Macdonald

Shauna Macdonald (born February 21, 1981 in Malaysia ) is a British actress .

life and career

Macdonald was born in Malaysia, where her father worked temporarily as an English teacher. The family returned to Edinburgh a short time later , where they grew up.

Macdonald made his debut in a major role alongside Billy Connolly in action - thriller The Debt Collector (1999). She also played bigger roles in the comedy Late Night Shopping (2001) with Heike Makatsch and in the film drama The Rocket Post (2004). The following year MacDonald played the role of Sarah in the British horror thriller The Descent and embodied this again in its sequel The Descent 2 - The hunt goes on (2009). For this role she was nominated for the Saturn Award in 2007. In the thriller Jetsam (2007) she played one of the bigger roles again.

Macdonald is married to fellow British actor Cal MacAninch and has three daughters. She and her husband are marathon runners .
